Planet Jassi Episode – The Captains Return to Planet Jassi

Join Jassi and The Captain as they navigate the social world and learn lots of fun things along the way.

In this episode The Captain finally has had enough of being stuck in the bunker way back in March when his Captain’s watch had a malfunction.

After months of solitude The Captain is really missing his old life. He sets about solving puzzles and hopes that this will be the way back to Planet Jassi.

He tries tying shoes laces, floor puzzles, matching and sorting activities , making cool designs with his building blocks but this does not work.

After a while he finally gives up and comes to the realisation that he is stuck in the bunker possibly forever never to return to Planet Jassi .

As he reflects on the good times with his friend Jassi The Captain begins to feel upset and misses Jassi. That’s it the key to solving the code and return to Planet Jassi is based on genuine emotion and friendship.

Teaching social skills and emotional regulation training is important when treating ASD traits and symptoms that can be problematic in building and maintaining relationships.

Research supports that individuals with autism may need support to understand how to make friends. Whilst many kids with autism want to make friends keeping them can be a challenge often due to having difficulties understanding other people’s perspective and reading emotions in others.
