Westfield Sensitive Santa Social Story Planet Jassi

Hi Everyone

It’s getting close to Christmas time and Jassi wants to get her photo taken with Santa. Many people love getting their photo taken with Santa and find the experience soo… much fun. However, for some people, the Christmas season can be very overwhelming and confusing which can create overstimulation and also increase anxiety. Kids with autism may not see Santa photo time as fun but parents often want their children to engage in regular activities just like their peers.
Last week Jassi thought it would be a good idea to go and get her photo taken and show her fans that they too can do it. Jassi understands that some things are just difficult but with a little support and understanding things are possible.
Westfield Tuggerah have written a Social Story to help kids with autism understand the experience. In this video, Jassi shares the social story with her fans and puts out a challenge to herself and you.
